Technical Assistant

Location: County Armagh
Salary: £28,000 per annum

About the Role:

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Technical Assistant to join a leading meat processing organization. In this role, you will play a crucial part in supporting the technical team in maintaining high standards of quality, food safety, and compliance across operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in the implementation and maintenance of quality assurance systems and procedures.
• Support the technical team in conducting audits and inspections to ensure compliance with food safety regulations and standards.
• Monitor production processes and documentation to ensure adherence to quality specifications.
• Collaborate with production staff to address any quality issues and provide technical support.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation related to quality control activities.
• Participate in training sessions on quality standards and best practices.
• Assist in the investigation of non-conformances and help implement corrective actions.

Essential Criteria:

• A relevant qualification in Food Science, Food Technology, or a related field.
• Previous experience in a quality or technical role within the food industry is advantageous.
• Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word.
