Description

We are hiring for our client, a growing water utilities organisation, who are seeking a few Leakage Detection Technician to join their team.

This Leakage Detection Technician job offers an excellent opportunity to work in a field-based role identifying and resolving leaks across water networks. The successful Technician will play a key role in maintaining system efficiency, reducing water loss, and supporting essential infrastructure services.

This role will suit someone with a background in water, utilities, streetworks or civils who enjoys hands-on, outdoor work and problem solving.

The Role

• Carry out inspections to detect leaks across water mains and supply networks
• Use specialist detection equipment to accurately identify leak sources
• Perform on-site fixes where possible and report further repair requirements
• Record findings, repairs and data accurately on client systems
• Work to minimise disruption to services and maintain operational efficiency
• Adhere to all health & safety procedures on site

The Person

• Experience as a Leakage Detection Technician or within water networks (desirable)
• Background in utilities, civils or streetworks highly transferable
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Comfortable working outdoors and undertaking physical tasks
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Relevant water industry or H&S certifications advantageous
