We are hiring for our client, a dynamic and growing construction, fit out, and manufacturing company, to appoint a talented Estimator – Construction & Fit Out. This is a key role in their pre-construction team, responsible for preparing accurate, competitive and timely cost estimates and tender submissions across a diverse project portfolio.

The Role:

• Analyse tender documents and prepare analytical cost estimates
• Collate quotes from suppliers and sub-contractors
• Liaise with Commercial Director and Operations Director on pricing and bid strategy
• Contribute to subcontractor selection and negotiation
• Attend meetings/site visits and prepare tender settlement documents
• Evaluate risk, programme and potential value engineering options
• Manage records and tender feedback for future improvement
• Embrace a continuous improvement approach to estimating processes

The Person:

• Proven experience as an Estimator in the construction or fit out sector
• Familiar with standard forms of contract (NEC, JCT, FIDIC)
• Strong commercial awareness and knowledge of construction techniques
• Excellent IT skills, particularly Excel and estimating software
• Meticulous attention to detail with strong communication and organisation skills
• Able to work both independently and as part of a team

Desirable:
• Degree in Quantity Surveying or related discipline
• Experience writing PQQ, bid, and tender submissions
• Familiarity with e-tendering platforms
