We are hiring for our client, an established and reputable organisation in the construction/building services industry, for the role of Mechanical Contracts Manager. Based in Ballymena and projects in Belfast, this is an exciting opportunity for a skilled and experienced professional to oversee and manage mechanical engineering projects, ensuring their successful execution from start to finish.

The Role:

• Project Management: Oversee mechanical contracts from inception to completion, ensuring all work is delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
• Team Leadership: Lead a team of engineers and subcontractors, providing technical guidance, mentorship, and fostering effective communication across the project team.
• Budget Control: Manage project budgets and work closely with the commercial team to ensure financial oversight throughout the lifecycle of each project.
• Quality Assurance: Ensure compliance with relevant building codes, regulations, and company standards, conducting inspections and audits regularly.
• Client Relations: Build strong relationships with clients and key stakeholders, providing regular updates and ensuring project requirements are met.

The Person:

• Degree-educated or time-served in Mechanical Engineering.
• Proven experience as a Mechanical Contracts Manager or in a similar role within construction/building services.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical systems (HVAC, plumbing, fire protection) and building regulations.
• Excellent project management skills with a track record of delivering projects on time and within budget.
• Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
