This Data Analyst role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute directly to the transition towards a cleaner, low-carbon energy future. The role sits within a multidisciplinary team of engineers, economists, and analysts, focusing on shaping the future of power markets in Northern Ireland and across Europe.

The Role:

  • Develop and maintain data models to forecast power market trends and system outcomes.
  • Conduct research and provide scenario analysis to support decision-making in energy market design and regulatory frameworks.
  • Prepare clear, evidence-based reports for both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Present complex technical information in a concise and accessible manner.
  • Collaborate across teams and external stakeholders to achieve program goals.

The Person:

  • Relevant third-level qualification (data science, economics, engineering, or related field).
  • 5+ years’ experience in data analysis within the energy sector or a similarly complex environment.
  • Strong proficiency in Python, R, and Excel for managing large datasets.
  • Proven ability to communicate technical findings to a wide range of stakeholders.
  • Experience in leading or mentoring teams is a plus, especially for Senior-level candidates.
