An excellent opportunity for a Product Engineer to join an award winning manufacturing company based in Coleraine. Reporting to the Engineering Manager you will be responsible for the design and re-design of new and existing products

The role

• Leading the introduction of internally designed products into the business.
• Developing ideas from concept through to manufacture by creating 3D CAD models
• Creating and modifying technical drawings and product specifications, including Bills of Materials (BOMs) and product costings to enable manufacture.
• Selecting and sourcing appropriate third-party components to be used with designs.
• Ensuring newly developed products comply with customer specifications, regulatory standards and performance levels specified for safety, function and reliability.
• Aiding production in the development of jigs/fixtures to support the manufacture of newly designed products.
• Participating in continuous improvement activities to enhance product quality, profitability and customer satisfaction.

The Person

• Degree in related subject
• 8+ years’ design experience gained within either a construction or manufacturing environment
• High degree of proficiency with 3D modelling software and technical drawing for sheet metal design, SolidEdge preferred.
