The Role

We are recruiting for a Weekend Transport Planner to support a busy transport function. This is a critical position responsible for ensuring the efficient planning and execution of multi-drop deliveries across the weekend period.

You will work closely with internal teams and customers, taking ownership of transport planning while operating independently in a fast-paced environment.

Working Hours

• Friday: 12:00pm – 8:00pm (on-site)
• Saturday: 8:00am – 5:00pm (on-site)
• Sunday: On-call (off-site)
• Monday: 6:00am – 12:00pm (on-site)

Key Responsibilities

Logistics Planning

• Plan efficient routes and load schedules for multi-drop deliveries
• Book deliveries and liaise directly with customers
• Allocate and track vehicles and resources using planning systems
• Respond to operational requirements in real time

Transport Management

• Oversee all transport activities during assigned shifts
• Build and maintain strong customer relationships
• Monitor and control transport costs
• Ensure all refrigerated vehicle tracking systems are fully operational

The Person

Essential Criteria

• Proven experience in a busy transport or logistics office
• Strong planning, organisational, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work under pressure and make independent decisions
• Excellent communication skills with both customers and internal teams
• Good IT skills, including transport planning systems
