We are working with a leading commercial law firm in Dublin as they look to recruit a Technology Solicitor to join their highly regarded Technology, Data and Commercial team.

This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious solicitor with 4+ years’ PQE to work on high-quality technology, privacy, data protection, AI, cybersecurity and commercial contracts matters for an impressive client base across Ireland and internationally.

The role would suit someone who enjoys working at the cutting edge of technology law, advising clients on complex and evolving legal issues in a practical, commercial and solutions-focused way.

The Role

As Technology Solicitor, you will advise clients on a broad range of technology, data and commercial matters, including:

  • Technology contracts, software licensing, SaaS agreements, outsourcing and commercial arrangements
  • Data protection, privacy and GDPR compliance
  • Cybersecurity, incident response and regulatory risk
  • AI, digital regulation and emerging technology issues
  • IP and commercialisation matters
  • Data sharing, data processing and cross-border transfer arrangements
  • Advising clients on practical, commercially focused solutions to complex technology and regulatory challenges
  • Supporting clients across a wide range of sectors, including technology, communications, financial services, healthcare, life sciences, retail and media
  • Working closely with partners and senior lawyers on both advisory and transactional matters

The Person

The successful candidate will ideally have:

  • 4+ years’ PQE as a solicitor
  • Strong experience in technology, data protection, privacy, IP, commercial contracts or digital regulation
  • Experience from a commercial law firm, in-house legal team or specialist technology/privacy practice
  • Strong drafting, advisory and client management skills
  • A commercial mindset and genuine interest in the technology sector
  • The ability to manage work independently while also contributing as part of a collaborative team
  • A practical, solutions-focused approach to client advice
