Description:
We are hiring for our client, a leading food manufacturing business, who are seeking a Technical Supervisor to join their site in Carrigans, Co. Donegal.
This is an excellent opportunity for a technically qualified individual with strong food industry experience, commercial understanding, and the ability to influence and drive good manufacturing practices across the factory. The successful Technical Supervisor will play a key role in maintaining high technical standards, ensuring compliance, and supporting continuous improvement across operations.

The Role:
• Support the Technical Manager in maintaining and developing food safety, quality, and compliance standards across the site.
• Liaise with auditing bodies and customers, ensuring audit readiness and compliance at all times.
• Monitor and report on KPIs, addressing non-conformances and implementing corrective actions.
• Oversee adherence to HACCP principles, regulatory requirements, and customer specifications.
• Promote good factory practices and ensure production teams uphold the highest quality standards.
• Conduct investigations into quality issues, identify root causes, and implement practical solutions.
• Manage documentation, technical reports, and corrective action plans accurately and efficiently.
• Collaborate with other departments and approved service suppliers to ensure consistent quality output.
The Person:
• Degree or HND in a food-related discipline.
• Minimum 2–3 years’ experience working in a technical role within a high-volume food production environment.
• Strong working knowledge of HACCP, customer and regulatory standards, DAFM requirements, and local legislation.
• Excellent attention to detail with strong problem-solving, communication, and organisational skills.
• Ability to influence and engage across all levels of the business.
• Confident in root cause analysis, record keeping, and audit preparation.
• Competent in Microsoft Word and Excel, with strong report writing and data analysis skills.
• Commercially aware, adaptable, and proactive with a passion for food and continuous improvement.
