We are hiring for our client, an established professional services firm in Belfast, as they seek to appoint an experienced Tax Manager to join their growing corporate tax team.

This is an excellent opportunity for a corporate tax professional who is ready to take greater ownership of client relationships, manage a varied portfolio and progress within a supportive and well-established firm. The successful Tax Manager will work with a broad range of businesses, providing both tax compliance and advisory support while contributing to the continued development of the wider tax team.

The Role

  • Manage a varied portfolio of corporate tax clients
  • Oversee the preparation and review of corporation tax computations and returns
  • Provide practical corporate tax advice to owner-managed businesses, groups and larger organisations
  • Support clients with tax planning, restructuring and other advisory assignments
  • Manage deadlines, workflows and the delivery of high-quality client work
  • Build strong, long-term relationships with clients and act as a key point of contact
  • Review work completed by junior team members and support their ongoing development
  • Work closely with partners and senior colleagues on complex tax matters
  • Identify opportunities to provide additional support and services to clients
  • Keep up to date with relevant tax legislation and technical developments

The Person

  • ACA, ACCA, CTA or similarly qualified
  • Strong corporate tax experience gained within an accountancy or professional services firm
  • Previous experience managing a portfolio of corporate tax clients
  • Good technical knowledge of UK corporation tax
  • Confident managing client relationships and delivering work within agreed deadlines
  • Strong communication, organisational and problem-solving skills
  • Previous experience reviewing work or supporting junior colleagues would be advantageous
  • Ambitious and interested in progressing within an established tax practice
