The Role
A leading international law firm is seeking an ambitious and commercially focused Senior Associate to join its Structured Finance and Capital Markets team in Dublin.
This is an excellent opportunity to work on sophisticated domestic and cross-border matters involving securitisations, structured finance products, debt capital markets, fund finance and innovative credit structures.
Working as part of a highly regarded finance practice, you will advise leading banks, investment managers, corporate issuers, arrangers, originators, private equity sponsors and institutional investors.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Advising banks and non-bank lenders on securitisations involving residential mortgages, auto loans and other asset-backed portfolios.
- Advising financial institutions and corporate clients on structured finance transactions involving Irish Section 110 companies.
- Supporting private equity funds, hedge funds, credit funds and institutional investors with direct lending platforms and credit transactions.
- Advising managers, arrangers and investors on CLO transactions and related financing structures.
- Developing innovative financing solutions for private equity sponsors, asset managers and institutional credit providers.
- Advising on fund finance transactions, including subscription line, NAV and hybrid facilities.
- Working closely with specialist colleagues across Investment Funds, Tax, Corporate and Financial Regulation.
- Managing transactions and workstreams independently while coordinating broader deal teams.
- Building and maintaining strong client relationships.
- Supporting business development initiatives and the continued growth of the practice.
- Mentoring and supervising junior lawyers.
The Person
The successful candidate will:
- Be a qualified solicitor with typically five or more years’ PQE.
- Have experience gained within a leading banking, finance or capital markets practice.
- Possess relevant experience in structured finance, securitisation, debt capital markets, fund finance or related financing transactions.
- Have excellent technical, drafting and project-management skills.
- Be capable of managing multiple complex transactions and competing deadlines.
- Demonstrate strong commercial judgement and a client-focused approach.
- Be comfortable managing workstreams independently while collaborating with wider transaction teams.
- Have an interest in mentoring junior colleagues and contributing to a supportive team culture.
- Be ambitious, proactive and interested in developing a long-term career within a leading international firm.
