We are hiring for our client, a global manufacturer within the materials processing sector, who are seeking a Senior VAVE Engineer to join their Dungannon site. This Senior VAVE Engineer position offers the opportunity to drive measurable cost, quality and performance improvements across complex screener platforms. The Senior VAVE Engineer will play a key role in embedding value-driven engineering into both legacy products and new product development, owning site-level PPV, eCost and VA/VE savings through technically robust, hands-on engineering.

The Role:

• Own and deliver PPV, eCost and VA/VE targets through structured cost-down and redesign initiatives
• Lead cost-driver analysis, component teardowns and clean-sheet redesigns
• Apply simulation and virtual validation tools prior to physical build
• Support prototype builds, testing and validation of solutions
• Influence system architecture and target cost in new product programmes
• Lead supplier validation (PPAP/FAI) and technical alignment
• Drive ECO execution and configuration control for production release
• Maintain clear reporting of savings, risks and progress
• Embed safety-first principles into all design decisions

The Person:

• Degree qualified in Mechanical Engineering (or related discipline)
• Proven experience delivering cost and value improvements in manufacturing or heavy equipment
• Strong hydraulic system design and electro-hydraulic control knowledge
• Experience supporting New Product Development at system level
• Strong understanding of DFM/DFA, GD&T and engineering standards
• Commercially aware with strong influencing and stakeholder management skills
• Chartered Engineer or working towards chartership desirable
