Senior Operations and Settlement Analyst

We are hiring for our client, a leading organisation within the energy sector, to appoint a Senior Operations and Settlements Analyst based in Belfast.

This Senior Operations and Settlements Analyst role offers the opportunity to play a key part in supporting electricity market operations across Ireland, ensuring settlement processes are delivered accurately, efficiently and in line with market regulations. The successful candidate will work closely with operational teams, market participants and stakeholders to coordinate settlement activities, resolve issues and support continuous improvement initiatives.

The Role

  • Coordinate and support day-to-day settlement processing activities
  • Investigate and resolve operational and settlement-related queries
  • Monitor compliance with procedures, KPIs and market codes
  • Produce operational, market and performance reports
  • Support testing activities and process improvement initiatives
  • Work collaboratively with internal teams and market participants
  • Identify recurring operational issues and recommend improvements
  • Support coaching and development of team members
  • Contribute to documentation, reporting and operational enhancements

The Person

  • Third-level qualification in Business, IT or related discipline
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience within an operational or business environment
  • Strong analytical, numerical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management ability
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Collaborative and proactive working style
  • Experience within regulated environments desirable
  • Exposure to reporting, operational improvement or settlement processes advantageous
