Senior Engineer

An established civil engineering contractor is seeking an experienced Senior Engineer / Site Agent to join its project delivery team in the North East region. Working across a range of infrastructure and civil engineering schemes, the successful candidate will play a key role in coordinating site activities, managing engineering requirements, and ensuring works are delivered safely, efficiently, and to programme.

The Role:

· Manage and coordinate daily site operations, ensuring works are delivered safely and in line with programme requirements.

· Oversee site engineering activities including setting out, quality control, and technical compliance.

· Plan upcoming works, coordinate labour and plant requirements, and assist with short-term programming.

· Prepare and manage technical documentation, including RFIs, site records, and progress updates.

· Liaise with project management, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure materials and resources are available when required.

The Person:

· Previous experience within a Senior Engineer, Site Engineer, or Site Agent position on civil engineering projects.

· Strong understanding of construction methodologies, site operations, and project sequencing.

· Experience coordinating material orders, workforce requirements, and site resources.

· Comfortable working in a hands-on capacity with direct involvement in project delivery.

· Excellent communication and organisational skills with the ability to solve problems proactively on site.
