Job Title: Quality Controller (Nightshift)

Working Schedule: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday Thursday (7pm - 7am)

Salary: £42,500 per year

Description

We are hiring for our client for a nightshift Quality Controller  to play a key role in maintaining food safety and quality standards within a fast-paced production environment.

The Quality Controller will take responsibility for quality on shift, ensuring all products meet internal specifications, customer requirements, and regulatory standards. Acting as a key link between production, technical and hygiene teams, this role is critical in ensuring consistent quality across all stages of manufacturing.

This Quality Controller position is ideal for someone with experience in food manufacturing who is looking to take on more ownership and responsibility within a quality-focused role.

The Role

  • Take ownership of food safety and quality standards across the production floor during shift
  • Ensure all production activities comply with site procedures, HACCP and customer specifications
  • Monitor CCP checks, quality processes and compliance across production lines
  • Carry out regular quality inspections to ensure product standards are met
  • Assess raw materials and ingredients to ensure required quality standards are achieved
  • Support production teams in maintaining consistent quality and resolving issues
  • Maintain accurate documentation including quality records and traceability
  • Monitor and support quality KPIs such as product compliance and process deviations
  • Escalate any quality or food safety issues and support investigations and corrective actions
  • Support training of production staff on quality and hygiene standards
  • Work closely with Technical, Operations and Hygiene teams to drive continuous improvement

The Person

  • Experience within a food manufacturing or production environment
  • Strong understanding of food safety and quality standards (HACCP desirable)
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to influence teams
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and respond to issues effectively
  • Proactive, reliable and able to take ownership of responsibilities
  • Experience in a quality control or similar role desirable
