Overview:

 

We are working with a leading bakery in Northern Ireland that is seeking an experienced and dedicated Quality Compliance Manager to join their team. This role is an excellent opportunity for a professional with over 3 years of relevant management experience in Technical or Quality Assurance within food manufacturing. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all quality compliance activities are effectively managed, and that products consistently meet high standards of safety, quality, and legality.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Manage and oversee quality assurance processes and procedures to ensure compliance with internal standards and external regulations.

 

  • Ensure full adherence to BRCGS standards, HACCP, VACCP, and TACCP, and actively contribute to the ongoing development and improvement of Quality Management Systems.

 

  • Lead and manage audits, ensuring the bakery operates within the required standards, and take appropriate corrective actions when necessary.

 

  • Maintain effective documentation and ensure traceability of products throughout the manufacturing process.

 

  • Work closely with internal departments, including production and technical teams, to ensure that quality and safety standards are maintained throughout the production process.

 

  • Provide support and training to staff on food safety regulations and compliance requirements.

 

  • Oversee risk assessments and contribute to the development of risk management strategies to ensure a safe working environment.

 

  • Monitor and report on key performance indicators related to quality, compliance, and safety standards.

 

  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, regulations, and best practices to ensure that the business is always compliant with changing standards.

 

Essential Qualifications and Experience:

 

  • A minimum of 3 years of relevant management experience in a Technical or Quality Assurance role within food manufacturing.

 

  • Strong knowledge of BRCGS standards, HACCP, VACCP, TACCP, and Quality Management Systems.

 

  • Proven experience in auditing, as well as the ability to lead corrective actions and improvements.

 

  • Excellent communication and leadership skills with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.

 

  • A proactive, results-oriented approach to problem-solving and compliance management.

 

  • A strong understanding of food safety legislation and industry regulations.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

 

 

Desirable Skills:

 

  • Experience with food safety certifications and regulatory bodies.
  • Previous experience in a bakery or similar food production environment.

 

  • Strong organizational and analytical skills.
  • Ability to manage and develop a team.
