QA Manager

QA Manager – (FMCG) - Monaghan, Ireland 

 

A leading player in the food production sector is currently seeking an experienced Quality Assurance (QA) Manager to take ownership of quality systems and ensure the highest standards in product safety, regulatory compliance, and customer satisfaction.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure ongoing regulatory and customer compliance through effective management and maintenance of the Quality Management System (QMS).
  • Lead all external and internal audits, including those by regulatory bodies, customers, and third-party certification bodies.
  • Develop and implement a robust internal audit program aligned with industry best practices and legal standards.
  • Maintain and update QMS documentation to ensure accuracy, relevance, and compliance with current legislation.
  • Investigate and manage non-conformances related to audits, customer complaints, and supplier issues, ensuring root causes are addressed and preventative actions are implemented.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for quality-related customer communications, handling feedback, requests, and complaints professionally.
  • Compile and present quality performance metrics at regular management review meetings.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement, working collaboratively across departments to drive operational excellence.

 

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

  • A deep understanding of Quality Assurance within the FMCG environment.
  • Technical knowledge and experience in high-risk food production settings.
  • Strong background in audit execution and managing corrective/preventative actions.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to build effective working relationships across teams and with external partners.
  • A meticulous and analytical mindset, with a drive for continuous improvement.
  • Proficiency in QMS software and general IT systems.

 

Requirements:

Essential:

  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a QA Manager role within the FMCG or food manufacturing industry.
  • Proven track record of managing audits and delivering tangible improvements in quality systems.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to motivate and influence cross-functional teams.
