The Role
We are partnering with a leading law firm in Dublin to recruit a Planning & Environmental Associate (2+ PQE) for their expanding team. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a high-performing practice with a diverse range of clients and significant exposure to complex and high-profile cases. The team advises on a wide variety of contentious and non-contentious matters, including significant infrastructure, renewable energy, and development projects in Ireland.
You will gain valuable experience in complex, high-value disputes and regulatory compliance while working in a collaborative and forward-thinking environment.
Key Responsibilities:

Work on contentious and non-contentious planning and environmental matters

Draft detailed legal opinions, court documentation, and provide strategic advice

Advise on regulatory risk, compliance issues, and environmental assessments

Support business development and play a key role in raising the team’s profile
-
Engage directly with clients and manage relationships with stakeholders across public and private sectors
The Person:
-
2+ years’ PQE in planning and environmental law
-
Experience across contentious matters (judicial review experience is desirable)
-
Strong drafting and analytical skills
-
Ability to manage cases with minimal supervision
-
Commercially aware, client-focused, and highly organised
