Operations Accountant

We are hiring for our client, a leading FMCG manufacturing business, to appoint an Operations Accountant based in Cookstown.

This Operations Accountant role offers a fantastic opportunity to gain hands-on exposure across operational finance within a fast-paced production environment. The successful Operations Accountant will support site finance activities including reporting, analysis and continuous improvement, working closely with both Finance and Operations teams.

This is an ideal opportunity for someone early in their finance career who wants to build strong commercial awareness and gain real insight into how a manufacturing site operates.

The Role

• Produce daily, weekly and monthly operational reports
• Analyse labour, yield and efficiency variances
• Support decision-making with clear financial insight
• Maintain operational finance trackers and reporting tools
• Contribute to monthly reporting packs and performance reviews
• Work closely with Operations teams to drive improvements
• Identify opportunities for process and efficiency improvements
• Support wider finance activities to ensure accurate reporting

The Person

• Early-stage finance professional (part/newly qualified desirable)
• Strong Excel and data analysis skills, plus a solid understanding of yield and labour variances 
• High attention to detail and accuracy
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
• Proactive and solutions-focused approach
• Able to work in a fast-paced, site-based environment
• Keen to learn and develop within operational finance
