We are hiring on behalf of our client for an exciting NPD Assistant opportunity based in Dublin.

This NPD Assistant role is ideal for someone with a passion for baking, food innovation and product development who is looking to build a career within New Product Development. Working alongside experienced bakery professionals and the Product Manager, the successful NPD Assistant will play a key role in bringing exciting new bakery products from concept through to launch.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join an established and growing food manufacturer where youll gain hands-on experience across product trials, customer samples, factory launches and new product development within a supportive team environment.

The Role

• Support the day-to-day activities of the New Product Development team.
• Prepare ingredients and assist with baking activities for product development.
• Assist with product trials, taste panels and new product launches.
• Prepare, package and dispatch customer samples.
• Support factory trials from concept through to successful launch.
• Record trial results and maintain accurate documentation throughout the development process.
• Organise ingredients, packaging and materials required for trials.
• Maintain excellent hygiene and housekeeping standards within the NPD kitchen.
• Work closely with the Product Manager and senior bakery team on continuous product innovation.
• Assist with additional NPD activities as required.

The Person

• Qualification or experience within Food Science, Food Technology, Nutrition, Baking or a related discipline.
• Genuine passion for baking and food innovation.
• Previous experience within a bakery, kitchen, food production or NPD environment would be advantageous.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.
• Able to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
• Proactive, flexible and enthusiastic approach.
• Comfortable working within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Full right to work in the Republic of Ireland.
