About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced and innovative New Product Development (NPD) Manager to join a dynamic team at a leading food manufacturing organization in Wicklow. In this role, you will be responsible for driving the development of new products from concept through to launch, ensuring alignment with market trends and customer needs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the NPD process, managing all stages from ideation to product launch, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to quality standards.
• Conduct market research to identify consumer trends and opportunities for new product development.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including marketing, production, and quality assurance, to ensure successful product development and alignment with business objectives.
• Develop product specifications and ensure compliance with food safety and regulatory requirements.
• Manage project timelines and budgets effectively, communicating progress to stakeholders.
• Conduct sensory evaluations and consumer testing to gather feedback and refine product offerings.
• Foster a culture of innovation within the NPD team, encouraging creativity and collaboration.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, competitive landscape, and emerging technologies to inform product development strategies.

Qualifications:

• A degree in Food Science, Food Technology, or a related discipline.
• Proven experience in a product development role within the food industry, with a focus on new product development.
• Strong understanding of food safety regulations and quality assurance standards.
• Excellent project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with a collaborative approach to teamwork.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience with project management tools.
