We are hiring for our client for an experienced Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join their engineering team in Dungannon.

 

This is an excellent opportunity for a mechanically biased engineer looking for a well-paid maintenance position offering a £60,000 basic salary, overtime opportunities and additional benefits.

 

Working on a continental shift pattern, the successful Mechanical Maintenance Engineer will be responsible for planned and reactive maintenance, fault finding and ensuring plant and equipment continues to operate safely and efficiently.

The Role

 

As Mechanical Maintenance Engineer, you will:

 

  • Carry out planned preventative and reactive mechanical maintenance
  • Diagnose mechanical faults and carry out effective repairs
  • Maintain plant, machinery and associated production equipment
  • Respond effectively to breakdowns to minimise equipment downtime
  • Identify recurring faults and support improvements to equipment reliability
  • Carry out mechanical repairs, replacements and component changes
  • Support preventative maintenance schedules and engineering improvement projects
  • Work closely with engineering and operational colleagues
  • Ensure all maintenance activities are completed safely and in line with site procedures
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance work completed

 

The Person

 

To be considered for this Mechanical Maintenance Engineer position, you should have:

  • NVQ Level 3 in Mechanical/Maintenance Engineering or a relevant engineering discipline
  • Previous experience working within a mechanical maintenance environment
  • Strong mechanical fault-finding and problem-solving skills
  • Experience carrying out both planned and reactive maintenance
  • A practical, hands-on approach to engineering
  • Strong awareness of health and safety
  • Ability to work effectively as part of an engineering team
  • Flexibility to work a continental shift pattern
