We are hiring for our client, a rapidly growing manufacturing organisation based in Ballymena, Co. Antrim, who are seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to join their expanding team. This Manufacturing Engineer job offers the opportunity to play a key role in optimising manufacturing processes, improving efficiency, and supporting the delivery of high-quality products in a fast-paced environment.
The successful Manufacturing Engineer will focus on driving continuous improvement, enhancing production capabilities, and introducing innovative solutions to improve safety, quality, throughput, and cost-effectiveness across operations.

The Role:
• Analyse production systems to identify inefficiencies and drive waste reduction initiatives
• Support the implementation of Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement strategies
• Coordinate new product introduction (NPI) from concept through to full production
• Lead Design for Manufacture (DFM) activities and resolve manufacturing challenges
• Optimise facility layouts, workflows, and material flow to improve efficiency
• Provide hands-on technical support to resolve daily production issues
• Develop Standard Work Instructions and process documentation
• Design and oversee tooling, jigs, and fixtures to support production
• Ensure processes meet safety and quality standards
• Improve lineside presentation and material routing strategies
The Person:
• Third level qualification in Manufacturing Engineering or similar
• Minimum 5 years’ experience within a manufacturing environment
• Strong experience in problem solving within production settings
• Proven ability to lead projects and drive improvements
• Strong IT skills including Excel and Microsoft Office
• Experience with 3D modelling and MRP systems (Sage or IFS desirable)
• Good understanding of engineering drawings
• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and process optimisation
