Management Accountant

Description:
We are hiring for our client, a well-established and growing manufacturing business, who are seeking to appoint a Management Accountant based in Warrenpoint. This Management Accountant job offers a fantastic opportunity to join a high-performing finance team, playing a key role in delivering accurate financial reporting, insightful analysis, and supporting operational decision-making.

The successful Management Accountant will work closely with both finance and manufacturing teams, contributing to month-end processes, KPI reporting, and continuous improvement of financial systems and processes.

The Role:
• Preparation of monthly management accounts and reporting packs
• Analysis of actuals versus budget and forecast
• Journal postings, accruals, prepayments, and stock analysis
• Management reporting, financial analysis, and KPI reporting
• Balance sheet reviews and reconciliations
• Investment appraisal and variance analysis
• Assist with weekly and monthly reporting packs
• Work closely with manufacturing teams to support performance
• Support accounts receivable and payable activities as required
• Assist with year-end reporting and audit preparation, liaising with internal and external auditors
• Contribute to financial systems development and data analysis

The Person:
• Experience in a Management Accountant role or similar
• Strong experience supporting month-end processes and management reporting
• Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, data analysis)
• Strong analytical and problem-solving ability
• High attention to detail with the ability to meet deadlines
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Proactive, flexible and team-oriented approach
• Ability to prioritise and manage workload in a busy environment
• Full driving licence and ability to travel between sites
