The Role:
As Maintenance Manager, you will:
- Lead and manage the site maintenance department to ensure safe, efficient, and reliable operations.
- Develop and implement preventative maintenance strategies and asset management best practices.
- Oversee maintenance systems, spare parts control, and the utilisation of tools such as Holistech and MYMRO.
- Manage departmental budgets and control expenditure on spare parts and engineering activities.
- Plan and prioritise maintenance activities to minimise downtime and maximise equipment reliability.
- Develop, coach, and support maintenance teams through training, performance management, and succession planning.
- Champion a culture of continuous improvement across engineering and operations.
- Collaborate with production and project teams to deliver new equipment, products, and process developments.
- Ensure contractor performance meets safety, quality, and value-for-money standards.
- Monitor and maintain site engineering KPIs and compliance standards.
- Ensure full compliance with Health & Safety, Food Safety, Environmental, and legislative requirements.
The Person:
To excel in this role, you will need:
- A Level 3 qualification in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
- Significant engineering and maintenance leadership experience within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of asset management and preventative maintenance systems.
- Proven experience managing maintenance teams and departmental budgets.
- A solid understanding of site utilities, services, and infrastructure.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and people development skills.
- A passion for continuous improvement and operational excellence.
