We are hiring for our client for a Maintenance Lead to join a well-established and growing manufacturing business based in Carrickmacross, Co. Monaghan. This Maintenance Lead role offers a great opportunity for an experienced engineer who enjoys a blend of hands-on maintenance and project lead work

The successful Maintenance Lead will play a key role in ensuring equipment reliability, minimising downtime, and supporting the wider production operation. Working closely with production and senior management, the Maintenance Lead will lead maintenance activities, support improvement initiatives, and contribute to operational efficiency across the site.

1. €60,000 – €65,000 salary package
2. Monday – Friday day shift (7am – 4pm)
3. 50% hands-on engineering / 50% project management

The Role

As Maintenance Lead, you will:

• Lead the site maintenance function and coordinate daily engineering activities
• Develop and implement engineering strategies, project plans, and timelines ensuring on-time and on-budget delivery.
• Carry out hands-on maintenance and troubleshooting on production equipment
• Support preventative maintenance planning and execution
• Work closely with production teams to support operational efficiency
• Maintain high standards of health, safety, and engineering best practice
• Assist with maintenance planning, reporting, and documentation

The Person

The ideal Maintenance Lead will have:

• Strong maintenance engineering experience within a production or industrial environment
• Experience with hands-on maintenance and projects
• Excellent fault-finding and problem-solving ability
• Strong communication skills and ability to work across departments
• Knowledge of preventative maintenance systems and continuous improvement initiatives
• A proactive and organised approach to engineering and maintenance activities
