The Role

The successful Dayshift Maintenance Fitter will:

  • Carry out mechanical maintenance on production and plant equipment
  • Diagnose faults and carry out timely repairs to minimise downtime
  • Perform preventative maintenance activities across machinery and equipment
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives within the engineering team
  • Work closely with production teams to ensure smooth operational performance
  • Ensure all maintenance work is completed safely and in line with company procedures
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation

The Person

The ideal Dayshift Maintenance Fitter will have:

  • Proven experience in a mechanical maintenance role within manufacturing or industrial environments
  • Strong fault finding and problem solving skills
  • Experience carrying out preventative and reactive maintenance
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a maintenance team
  • A proactive and safety-focused approach to engineering work
  • Relevant mechanical qualification or apprenticeship (desirable)
