The Role
The successful Dayshift Maintenance Fitter will:
- Carry out mechanical maintenance on production and plant equipment
- Diagnose faults and carry out timely repairs to minimise downtime
- Perform preventative maintenance activities across machinery and equipment
- Support continuous improvement initiatives within the engineering team
- Work closely with production teams to ensure smooth operational performance
- Ensure all maintenance work is completed safely and in line with company procedures
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation
The Person
The ideal Dayshift Maintenance Fitter will have:
- Proven experience in a mechanical maintenance role within manufacturing or industrial environments
- Strong fault finding and problem solving skills
- Experience carrying out preventative and reactive maintenance
- Ability to work independently and as part of a maintenance team
- A proactive and safety-focused approach to engineering work
- Relevant mechanical qualification or apprenticeship (desirable)
