We are hiring for our client, a market-leading supplier to the food manufacturing industry, who are seeking a skilled Maintenance Engineer (Mechanically Biased) to join their established engineering team at their Craigavon facility.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced mechanical maintenance professional to become part of a forward-thinking, stable organisation where you’ll play a key role in the maintenance, troubleshooting, and optimisation of modern, automated production systems.

The successful Maintenance Engineer (Mechanically Biased) will have a strong background in maintaining production machinery and be confident working with mechanical systems in a high-volume environment.

The Role:

• Carry out planned preventative and reactive maintenance on a wide range of production equipment

• Diagnose and resolve mechanical breakdowns quickly to minimise downtime

• Troubleshoot and fault-find mechanical systems to ensure smooth operation

• Support ongoing improvement projects to increase equipment reliability and performance

• Maintain health and safety standards in all engineering activities

The Person:

• Recognised Mechanical Qualification (NVQ Level 3 or equivalent) – essential

• Proven experience in a production or manufacturing maintenance role

• Skilled in mechanical fault-finding and maintenance – essential

• Strong understanding of automated processes and mechanical systems

• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment
