Associate Solicitor (NQ-3 PQE) - Belfast

The Opportunity

We are working with a leading law firm to recruit an Associate Solicitor to join their Belfast team.

This is an excellent opportunity for an NQ to 3 years’ PQE solicitor to gain exposure to high-quality litigation, insurance, healthcare and professional liability work within a specialist and well-established team.

You’ll work closely with experienced senior solicitors and partners, developing your technical skills while gaining hands-on experience across complex and varied disputes. This role would suit a junior solicitor who is keen to build a career within litigation and insurance law, with strong support, training and progression available.

The Role

You will:

• Work on a broad range of litigation and insurance-related matters
• Assist senior solicitors and partners on complex and high-value claims
• Liaise with clients, counsel, experts and other external stakeholders
• Attend consultations, hearings, mediations and settlement discussions where required
• Develop responsibility for your own files as your experience grows
• Work as part of a collaborative and specialist team

The Person

The ideal candidate will have:

• NQ-3 years’ PQE as a solicitor
• Experience in litigation, insurance defence, healthcare, professional negligence or a related contentious area
• Strong drafting, analytical and communication skills
• Good attention to detail and the ability to manage deadlines
