The Role:

As the HSE Manager, you will work closely with the Site Director and Senior Leadership Team to ensure the highest standards of Health, Safety, and Environmental compliance. Your role will involve providing expert guidance, data-driven insights, and practical solutions to foster a culture of safety and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain a safe workplace in line with legal and regulatory standards.
  • Foster and enhance a culture of safety and personal ownership across the site.
  • Monitor and assess hazardous situations, implementing measures to prevent accidents.
  • Develop, implement, and ensure adherence to EH&S policies, procedures, and programmes.
  • Conduct and regularly review risk assessments, implementing findings as necessary.
  • Provide support and guidance to the Site EHS team members.

The Person:

The ideal candidate will be a proactive and experienced professional with a strong background in Health, Safety, and Environmental management, particularly within the FMCG or food manufacturing sector.

Essential Criteria:

  • NEBOSH Diploma (or Level 6 equivalent) in Occupational Health & Safety.
  • Proven experience in a Health & Safety leadership role, ideally within food manufacturing or FMCG.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of UK and Northern Ireland H&S legislation.
  • Demonstrated experience leading safety initiatives on significant site programmes or projects.
  • Strong communication and influencing skills, with the ability to build trusted relationships.
  • Analytical mindset with a proven ability to use data to drive improvements.
  • Highly organised, detail-oriented, and capable of managing competing priorities effectively.
