HR Generalist

Due to continued growth, our reputable and well established manufacturing Client in Monaghan, is keen to appoint an experienced HR Generalist.  This is a new, permanent HR Advisor/HR Officer job, and an addition to the existing, successful team.

The company has a prime location in Monaghan that is an easy commute for professionals from Armagh, Tyrone, Down or Monaghan.

 

Reporting to an inspiring HR Manager, the successful HR professional will provide expert HR generalist support to the business, from recruitment, absence and performance management through to employee welfare and engagement initiatives.

This is a really varied HR opportunity and a strong blend of HR operations and process improvement and innovation.

 

The Role

  • Support recruitment and selection processes – assisting managers with adverts, posting on job boards, interviewing etc
  • Represent the Company at job fairs and careers events
  • Support with onboarding activities, participating in interactive induction training, and ensuring follow up, touch points with employees
  • Maintain accurate records
  • Provide advice, support and guidance on processes, policies and procedures, as well as complex employee relations cases
  • Act as a point of contact for employee inquiries and provide guidance on HR policies and procedures
  • Support Managers with performance management, absence management as well as with investigation, discipline and grievance processes
  • Assist in resolving employee relations issues and conflicts in a timely and professional manner
  • Promote, develop and implement employee engagement initiatives including driving the employee forum
  • Prepare HR related documents – employment contracts, letters, KPI reports etc
  • Manage and support various HR projects

 

The Person

  • 3rd level education, advantageous
  • Associate CIPD qualified
  • Minimum of 1-2 years experience within a similar role – HR Generalist/Officer/Advisor
  • Good grounding and experience of applying Irish employment law in the workplace
  • Excellent communicator and keen relationship builder
  • Ability to use initiative and innovate for continuous improvement
  • Proficient in MS Office and HR software
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
  • Full clean drivers licence and access to own transport, essential
