Hunter Savage is delighted to be partnering with a well-established and growing food manufacturing business to recruit an experienced Factory / Operations Manager for their production facility in Co. Monaghan.

The Role

The Factory / Operations Manager will lead the Added Value / Retail processing area, ensuring production targets are delivered efficiently while maintaining the highest standards of food safety, quality, and operational performance.

You will work closely with Planning, Dispatch, Operations, and Health & Safety teams while leading a team of Supervisors and Line Leaders.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage day-to-day production operations in a high-volume food manufacturing environment
• Deliver production targets while maintaining quality, efficiency, and food safety standards
• Work closely with Planning and Dispatch teams to ensure customer orders are fulfilled on time
• Ensure full compliance with HACCP, food safety, and health & safety regulations
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives and cost control measures
• Develop, mentor, and support Supervisors and Line Leaders on the factory floor

Candidate Requirements

• 5+ years’ experience in a Factory Manager, Operations Manager, or senior production leadership role within food manufacturing
• Experience within poultry, fish, or processed/breaded food production would be advantageous
• A hands-on leadership style with strong presence on the factory floor
• Experience managing teams in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
• Strong understanding of HACCP, food safety standards, and health & safety compliance
