A leading and growing food manufacturing company is looking for an experienced Engineering Project Manager to manage and deliver engineering projects within a fast-paced, dynamic plant environment. You will be responsible for planning and coordinating new equipment installations, as well as managing upgrades and maintenance projects, ensuring timely and efficient delivery while maintaining high standards of quality and safety.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical support to maintenance and production teams as needed.
  • Coordinate the installation, commissioning, and commissioning activities for new and existing equipment.
  • Develop and improve engineering practices across the site.
  • Prepare and execute project plans for new installations, ensuring timely and efficient implementation.
  • Collaborate closely with various departments to scope projects, define objectives, and set timelines.
  • Lead fault-finding initiatives and drive solutions across technical challenges.

Person Specification:

Experience:

  • Minimum of 5 years experience in a manufacturing environment, ideally within food manufacturing.
  • Proven track record of managing and delivering projects in fast-paced manufacturing settings.
  • Knowledge of relevant Health & Safety legislation and quality standards.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • A degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (HND/HNC candidates with relevant experience will be considered).
  • Proficient in mechanical engineering design and AutoCAD.
  • Experience in managing installations and projects within a fully operational factory environment.
  • Strong technical problem-solving skills and the ability to drive practical solutions.

  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills to work cross-functionally with various teams.
  • Strong time management and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize multiple projects.
  • Ability to work under pressure while meeting deadlines and adhering to budgetary constraints.
  • High computer literacy and flexibility in working hours to meet business needs.
