An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Group Engineering & Facilities Manager to join a leading organisation based in North Dublin. This role offers the chance to lead and coordinate all facilities, maintenance, utilities, infrastructure, and site services across multiple manufacturing sites. Operating within a high-care chilled food manufacturing environment, the Group Engineering & Facilities Manager will play a pivotal role in ensuring the safe, compliant, and efficient operation of all production facilities, utilities, and support services.

The Role:

As the Group Engineering & Facilities Manager, you will:

  • Lead and manage all facilities, maintenance, utilities, and infrastructure functions across multiple sites.
  • Develop and implement group-wide facilities standards, policies, and best practices.
  • Oversee Planned Preventive Maintenance (PPM) programmes to minimise downtime and improve asset reliability.
  • Manage utilities such as refrigeration, HVAC, boilers, compressed air, and electrical distribution systems.
  • Ensure compliance with BRCGS, HACCP, Health & Safety, and environmental standards.
  • Drive energy optimisation and utilities cost reduction initiatives.
  • Manage contractors and service providers, ensuring compliance with safety and operational standards.
  • Lead CAPEX projects, including factory expansions and energy optimisation projects.
  • Develop and manage annual facilities and maintenance budgets.
  • Produce regular KPI and performance reports for senior management.

The Person:

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • A degree or trade qualification in Mechanical, Electrical, Building Services, or Facilities Management.
  • Minimum 5-10 years’ experience in facilities, maintenance, or operational leadership within FMCG or food manufacturing.
  • Proven multi-site management experience.
  • Strong understanding of BRCGS, HACCP, and statutory compliance requirements.
  • Excellent leadership and people management skills.
  • Advanced problem-solving and root cause analysis capabilities.
  • Experience with CMMS systems (e.g., PEMAC, SAP PM).
  • Strong financial and budget management experience.
  • A continuous improvement mindset and project management expertise.
