Description:
We are hiring for our client, a leading and well-established production business located 20 minutes from Ballyhaunis, who wish to appoint an experienced Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join their engineering team.

This is a permanent dayshift position with no nights, evenings, or early starts, offering excellent work-life balance and a competitive package including overtime opportunities. The successful Electrical Maintenance Engineer will be responsible for ensuring the safe, efficient, and reliable operation of all plant machinery and electrical systems.

The Role:

• Carry out planned and reactive electrical maintenance on production and process equipment
• Diagnose and repair faults on motors, drives, sensors, and control systems
• Support continuous improvement and preventative maintenance activities
• Participate in the installation and commissioning of new equipment and plant upgrades
• Work collaboratively with production and maintenance teams to minimise downtime and enhance reliability
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and ensure compliance with all health, safety, and quality standards

The Person:

• Electrical engineering qualification
• Proven experience within a manufacturing or industrial maintenance environment
• Sound knowledge of electrical systems, drives, PLCs, and automation desirable
• Strong problem-solving and fault-finding skills
• Excellent communication, teamwork, and organisational abilities
• A proactive and safety-conscious approach to work
