The successful Senior Electrical Design Engineer will play a critical role in electrical system design, testing and compliance, working closely with cross-functional engineering teams to deliver high-quality, market-leading products. The Role 

• Lead the design of electrical drawings, schematics and Bills of Materials (BOMs).

• Produce detailed technical documentation including work instructions, parts lists and maintenance manuals.

• Mentor and support other engineers, providing technical guidance and practical design solutions.

• Research and test manufacturing and assembly methods to improve electrical products and processes.

• Contribute to R&D projects, supporting new product development and range expansion.

• Design and carry out electrical testing methods to ensure product performance and reliability.

• Ensure full compliance with electrical design regulations, ISO 9001 standards and health & safety procedures.

• Act as a technical point of contact, responding to electrical queries across the wider engineering team.

The Person

• HND (or equivalent) in Electrical / Electronic Engineering, or significant relevant industry experience.

• Minimum 5 years’ post-graduate experience in a similar electrical design role.

• Strong experience producing electrical schematics and technical drawings to industry standards.

• Proficient with AutoCAD, SolidWorks and EPLAN (or similar design software).

• Excellent understanding of current electrical regulations and compliance requirements.

• Comfortable working autonomously while contributing effectively within a team environment.

• Strong communication skills with the confidence to share technical knowledge and mentor others.
