We are seeking an experienced and proactive Demand Planner to join our growing team. The Role:
As a Demand Planner, you will:
- Maintain and ensure the integrity of the demand planning tool, providing actionable insights for the purchasing team.
- Participate in forecast review and validation processes, delivering clear reporting on forecast accuracy and supporting the implementation of S&OP practices.
- Refine sales forecasts for existing products, analysing data to improve forecasting accuracy and service levels.
- Lead out-of-stock reporting and root cause analysis to minimise lost sales.
- Identify future inventory risks and opportunities, collaborating with Purchasing, Operations, and Sales teams to provide actionable recommendations.
- Manage the forecasting implications of new product introductions and the phase-out of obsolete ranges.
- Act as a key interface between purchasing and sales teams, translating commercial insights into forecast adjustments.
- Work closely with Operations and Sales teams to refine inventory level targets in third-party logistics (3PL) systems.
The Person:
To excel in this role, you will need:
- A relevant third-level qualification, preferably in Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related field.
- A minimum of 3 years’ experience in demand planning and S&OP processes.
- Proficiency in forecasting tools, methodologies, and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Experience with SQL-based ERP systems and reporting tools such as Power BI.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with senior stakeholders.
- A detail-oriented, process-driven mindset with a proactive attitude.
- A team player mentality and a willingness to learn about products, systems, and customers.
