We’re excited to partner with one of the top five firms in Dublin to help them find an outstanding Debt Finance Solicitor with 2–6 years’ PQE. This is a fantastic opportunity for a solicitor to work on high-profile, complex financing transactions with some of the most prestigious clients in the market, including leading lenders, sponsors, corporates, and private credit lenders.

About the Role

As a Debt Finance Solicitor, you will play a central role in executing loan and security transactions, working closely with partners and senior associates to deliver high-quality, pragmatic advice. You’ll manage discrete workstreams end-to-end - from drafting and negotiation to due diligence, closing, and post-completion - with the opportunity to take on increasing responsibility as you develop in the role.

Key Responsibilities

Transaction Execution

  • Lead associate-level workstreams, managing deadlines and proposing practical solutions.

  • Prepare clear issue lists, closing checklists, and maintain accurate status reports.

Drafting & Negotiation

  • Draft, negotiate, and mark-up finance documents, ensuring consistency and robust protections across all documents.

  • Translate commercial objectives into precise legal terms and strong legal protections.

Due Diligence & CP/Closing

  • Deliver targeted legal due diligence, highlighting red flags and proposing mitigants.

  • Manage CP collection, verification, stakeholder sign-offs, and post-completion work.

Client Service & Collaboration

  • Build strong relationships with clients, counterpart counsel, agents, and internal teams.

  • Provide clear, responsive, and commercial advice.

Risk, Compliance & Quality

  • Ensure compliance with confidentiality, data protection, and KYC regulations.

  • Contribute to internal knowledge initiatives and process improvements.

Skills & Expertise

Essential:

  • Qualified solicitor with 2–6 years’ PQE in banking/finance, ideally in leveraged, corporate, or real estate finance.

  • Strong academic credentials and excellent drafting skills.

  • Commercial awareness and the ability to work under pressure.

  • Familiarity with LMA documentation, intercreditor frameworks, and Irish security/perfection requirements.

Desirable:

  • Experience in acquisition/leveraged finance, ABL, and real estate finance.

  • Experience managing CP/closing workstreams and post-completion tasks.

  • Comfort with legal tech and GenAI drafting tools.
