We are delighted to be working with a leading international law firm on a new opportunity for a Construction Solicitor (3–5 years’ PQE) to join its expanding Dublin team.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a highly regarded construction practice with a strong pipeline of major Irish infrastructure and commercial development projects. The role offers significant exposure to non-contentious construction and project advisory work, with the opportunity to support on contentious and regulatory matters as they arise.

The team advises developers, contractors, funders, insurers and public bodies across the full lifecycle of construction and infrastructure projects.

The Role

This position is primarily focused on front-end construction, advising clients from procurement and contract structuring through to project completion.

You will:

  • Draft and negotiate construction documentation including RIAI, JCT, NEC, FIDIC and bespoke contracts

  • Advise on risk allocation, procurement strategies and project structuring

  • Support major development and infrastructure projects across multiple sectors

  • Provide advisory input on governance, compliance and regulatory considerations

You will also gain exposure to:

  • Construction disputes including adjudication, mediation and litigation

  • Live project advisory and contractual interpretation issues

  • Regulatory and compliance matters within the construction sector

This role would suit a solicitor looking to deepen their non-contentious expertise while maintaining involvement in advisory and contentious work.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drafting and negotiating construction contracts and consultant appointments

  • Advising clients on risk management and project documentation

  • Supporting dispute resolution matters where required

  • Working closely with real estate, finance and projects teams

  • Building client relationships and contributing to business development initiatives

Skills & Experience

Essential:

  • Qualified solicitor with 3–5 years’ PQE in construction law

  • Strong experience in non-contentious construction work

  • Excellent drafting and negotiation skills

  • Commercial, pragmatic and solutions-focused approach

Desirable:

  • Exposure to adjudication, arbitration or litigation

  • Experience advising on infrastructure or large-scale development projects

  • Familiarity with RIAI, JCT, NEC or FIDIC contracts
