We are hiring for our client, a well-established insurance brokerage, who are seeking an experienced Account Handler to join their Mid-Large Operations Team. This is an exciting opportunity to manage a portfolio of commercial clients, providing end-to-end servicing while supporting account retention, business growth, and operational efficiency.
The role is ideal for someone with strong commercial insurance knowledge, excellent client relationship skills, and a proven track record in managing and retaining commercial accounts.

The Role:
• Provide ongoing servicing to existing clients and manage relationships throughout the renewal cycle
• Analyse client needs and identify opportunities to enhance their risk management structures
• Identify cross-selling opportunities and support the Sales team
• Present and negotiate client accounts with insurers, ensuring accurate and timely placement of risks
• Maintain clear and accurate client records on Applied Relay, including file notes and documentation
• Monitor business metrics including new business, renewals, fees, commissions, and margins
• Attend client meetings alongside the Sales team and provide technical support
• Lead and participate in business projects as required
• Stay informed of insurer appetites, competitor activity, and market trends
• Ensure compliance with all regulatory and legal requirements, including Central Bank codes and internal procedures
The Person:
• 3+ years’ experience in commercial broking or relevant insurance operations
• Strong technical knowledge across commercial insurance lines including:
– Marine / Cargo (desirable)
– Property & Business Interruption
– Employer’s/Public/Products Liability
– Motor Fleet / Motor Trade
– Professional Indemnity
– Management Liability (Directors & Officers, Employment Practices)
– Cyber Liability Insurance
• APA / CIP qualified or working toward qualifications
• Excellent understanding of client businesses and industry sectors
• Proven track record in account management, retention, and delivering excellent customer service
• Strong knowledge of regulatory and legal requirements in insurance
