The Role
A well-established insurance brokerage is seeking an experienced Commercial & Farm Account Executive to join its Dungarvan team.
You will take responsibility for developing and managing an existing book of commercial and agricultural business, providing clients with professional advice and ensuring they receive a consistently high level of service.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced insurance professional who enjoys building long-term client relationships and managing a varied portfolio.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the renewal process in line with agreed procedures and timescales
- Understand clients’ businesses and advise them on their insurance requirements
- Build and maintain strong, long-term client relationships
- Develop an existing portfolio of commercial and farm business
- Work towards an agreed individual income target
- Ensure internal processes and regulatory requirements are followed
- Manage premium collection and aged debt within the portfolio
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date client and policy records
- Liaise with insurers to secure suitable coverage and competitive terms
- Comply with Central Bank of Ireland requirements and internal policies
The Person
The successful candidate will ideally have:
- A minimum of three to five years’ experience in a similar commercial insurance role
- CIP qualification or Grandfathered status in Commercial General Insurance
- Strong commercial or agricultural insurance knowledge
- Good knowledge of the insurance market, products and technical requirements
- The ability to understand client needs and provide appropriate advice
- Excellent communication and relationship-management skills
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- The ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
- A proactive, adaptable and client-focused approach
- The ability to meet the requirements of the Central Bank’s Fitness and Probity Standards
