We are hiring for our client for a CNC Field Service Technician covering the Galway-Limerick region. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced technician who enjoys working independently, solving technical problems, and supporting customers across a varied range of CNC machinery.

The successful CNC Field Service Technician will be responsible for installations, servicing, preventative maintenance and fault finding on CNC equipment, with the backing of a well-established engineering team. If you have strong mechanical and electrical diagnostic skills and experience working with CNC or PLC-controlled machinery, this could be the ideal next step in your career.

The Role

• Carry out mechanical and electrical fault finding on CNC equipment
• Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical failures efficiently
• Install and commission CNC machinery at customer sites
• Perform annual servicing and preventative maintenance programmes
• Liaise with suppliers and manufacturers to resolve technical issues
• Deliver high levels of customer service while representing the business professionally

The Person

• Experience working with CNC and/or PLC-controlled manufacturing equipment
• Strong electrical and mechanical fault-finding skills
• Knowledge of electronic systems and controls
• Ability to read and interpret system schematics
• Good level of computer literacy
• Full clean driving licence
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills
• Able to work independently and manage a field-based workload
