The Opportunity

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Broker Support Advisor to join a well-established and growing specialist insurance provider.

This role sits within the underwriting support function and plays a key part in ensuring strong relationships with a panel of brokers while supporting underwriting, accounts, audit, and claims teams. The successful candidate will join a collaborative environment where training, development, and progression are actively supported.

 

The Role

As a Broker Support Advisor, you will support the underwriting team in managing broker relationships and ensuring risks are assessed and processed efficiently. The position involves working closely with internal departments and providing high-quality service to broker partners.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Review referrals from broker panels and assist in confirming whether risks are acceptable.
  • Handle broker queries in a professional and efficient manner.
  • Liaise between underwriting, accounts, audit, and claims departments.
  • Assist with broker audits and risk reviews when required.
  • Ensure underwriting processes are completed accurately and within agreed timeframes.
  • Maintain strong compliance with trading standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Stay up to date with regulatory and technical developments, including CPD requirements.

 

About You

  • Experience working within an insurance or Personal Lines environment.
  • CIP / APA qualified or working towards a relevant qualification (desirable).
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively across teams.
  • Highly organised with strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage competing priorities.
