Bid Writer

We are hiring for our client, a respected Belfast-based law firm, who are seeking an experienced Tender/Bid Writer to join their central business team. This is a key role supporting the firm’s growth strategy through the preparation, coordination, and submission of high-quality tenders, proposals, and bids across multiple practice areas.

The Role:

  • Manage the end-to-end tender process from evaluation through to submission
  • Produce high-quality written content, including tenders, proposals, capability documents, and pitch materials
  • Review tender requirements, interpret specifications, and plan submission timelines
  • Coordinate contributions from legal and business teams, ensuring consistent, accurate responses
  • Edit, proofread, and format documents to a high professional standard
  • Monitor tender portals and identify new opportunities across NI, ROI and UK markets
  • Maintain up-to-date bid libraries, templates, and supporting materials
  • Manage internal deadlines, ensuring all stakeholders contribute on time
  • Support post-submission evaluation, feedback analysis, and continuous improvement
  • Ensure compliance with internal processes, branding, and document standards

The Person – What We’re Looking For

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in a tender, bid writing, proposals, or similar role
  • Strong writing, editing, and proofreading ability with exceptional attention to detail
  • Excellent project management skills – able to coordinate multiple contributors
  • Ideally degree educated in English, Business, Communications, or a similar discipline
  • Previous experience in a legal, professional services, or regulated environment is highly desirable
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage competing deadlines
  • Confident communicator able to work collaboratively with senior stakeholders
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and comfortable working with document templates and bid portals
