The Role

• Manage the Assigned Certification process across a range of projects
• Prepare documentation for tender, inspection plans and commencement notice submissions
• Oversee BCAR compliance, statutory submissions, and site monitoring
• Review Ancillary Certifier quality monitoring and record-keeping
• Attend and chair site meetings, liaising with contractors, design teams, Local Authorities and clients
• Contribute to business development through client relationship management and fee proposals
• Mentor and support junior team members, sharing best practice and driving continuous improvement

The Person

• Qualified to perform the role of Assigned Certifier under BCAR regulations (Architect, Chartered Engineer, or Building Surveyor)
• Minimum 5 years’ relevant post-qualification experience
• Strong knowledge of Building Control Regulations, BCAR online systems, and the construction process
• Excellent leadership, communication and IT skills (MS Project, AutoCAD, site monitoring software)
• Commercially astute with proven client-facing experience
• Proactive, adaptable, and committed to CPD and professional standards
