Due to continued growth and success, our leading, global engineering Client, wishes to recruit an experienced Talent Business Partner/HR Business Partner. This is a new, permanent senior HR generalist job, based in the Greater Belfast/Newtownabbey area
Reporting to the Talent & Organisational Development Manager, the successful Talent Business Partner will play a key role in managing various aspects of the HR function, including resourcing, onboarding, HRIS management, employee relations etc
The Talent Business Partner will enjoy working as part of a busy, professional team, delivering a world class HR services based on well established and effective policies, procedures and initiatives.
It is critical that the successful Talent Business Partner is a team player, enthusiastic and capable of working on their own initiative.
The Role
- Report to the Talent & Organisational Development Manager and work closely with the wider Talent Team and Managers
- Support the full recruitment process within budget
- Oversee all starter and leaver processes, compliance etc
- Agency management and negotiating best terms
- Lead onboarding inductions for new starts
- Ensure all employees receive a great employee experience throughout their employment with the company
- Provide advice on all aspects of HR processes and policies
- Monitor, review and update HR policies and documentation
- Support the performance management cycle, including probations and performance improvement plans
- Advise on leave, maternity, paternity, flexible working etc
- Lead and support managers through disciplinary and grievance processes
- Lead sickness and time and attendance queries and issues
- Support the Talent Team with engagement initiatives and culture events
The Person
- 3rd level qualification
- CIPD qualified
- Minimum of 3-4 years senior HR generalist experience in a similar role, essential
- Experience working within a busy, fast paced, production or engineering led environment
- Good working knowledge and practical application of NI employment legislation
- Proven organisational skills with the ability to effectively plan, organise and control daily workload.
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Track record of identifying and successfully implementing process changes
- Ability to work with, and influence colleagues
- Ability to travel to other sites in NI.
