Site Manager – Exciting New Housing Project

An esteemed client of ours in the construction sector, based in Northern Ireland, is seeking a dynamic Site Manager for an upcoming and promising housing project in Cavan. As the deputy to the Lead Site Manager, this pivotal role involves substantial engagement in project delivery, team support, and both personal and professional growth.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the construction site operations, including managing subcontractors, ensuring the health and safety of all personnel, and maintaining high standards of quality and workmanship.
  • Coordinate site labor and agency staff effectively.
  • Assist in the comprehensive management and day-to-day operations of site activities.
  • Support the Site Manager in managing the short-term project schedule to enhance efficiency and ensure timely completion according to the plan.
  • Contribute to the enforcement of all Health and Safety policies and procedures.
  • Aid in managing subcontractors and staff, addressing any arising issues promptly.
  • Ensure the on-time and high-standard delivery of projects.
  • Manage document control as a critical component of project control.
  • Uphold the Integrated Management System (IMS), policies, and procedures.

Qualifications:

  • Self-motivated with the capability to independently manage projects from inception to completion.
  • Deadline-oriented, with a proven ability to motivate the team to meet critical milestones.
  • Strong communication skills and solid commercial insight.

Experience:

  • Prior experience in a similar role is required.
  • Specific background in groundworks/civil engineering is crucial, given the significant civils component in the project.
  • Competent in numeracy and IT, including MS Office, Word, and Excel.
  • Must possess a full driving license and relevant site certifications.
  • Salary is competitive and commensurate with demonstrated experience.
