I am delighted to be retained by an international FMCG juggernaut in North Dublin who are seeking to speak with experienced Financial Accountants, in particular people that are coming with good experience from Shared Service Centres or Global Business Services from Food, Supply Chain or Logistics backgrounds ideally. The successful candidate will have experience with intercompany reconciliations and multi-currency transactions. These positions will be hired due to organic growth within a new team based in Ireland.

The Role:

• Preparation and posting of month end journals
• Producing accurate and timely monthly management accounts
• Prep of month end and quarter P&L and Balance Sheet reconciliations
• Reviewing outputs from Accounts Payable, Banking and Accounts receivable
• Manage a portfolio of entities and ledgers producing the monthly, quarterly, and annual group reporting
• Completion of month end close procedures and activities, including co-ordination with other Teams (PTP, OTC and tax) to ensure timely completion of month end tasks
• Process all transaction to the ledgers for month end close
• Review variances on all balance sheet accounts as part of the month end close and provide commentary
• Responsible for maintaining the fixed asset register, including IFRS 16, capitalization, depreciation, and amortisation
• Responsible for inventory and cost accounting

The Person:

• Shared Service Centre or GBS experience advantageous
• ACA Chartered or ACCA Certified Accountant or similar
• Good track record of system expertise and process improvements
• Advanced MS Excel skills
• Ability to handle a high volume of work, demonstrating excellent administration skills and attention to detail.
• Aptitude for building relationships, influencing upwards and laterally, taking ownership of tasks, and keeping colleagues informed of progress. 
• High level of commercial acumen
• Experience with SAP S/4 Hana ideal
