The Role

  • Partner closely with the employment teams partners and 20+ lawyers to devise and execute strategic knowledge and business development initiatives
  • Lead the development and maintenance of the groups knowledge database and client training materials, ensuring accuracy, accessibility, and strategic alignment
  • Horizon scan and provide timely, incisive insight into key Irish and EU employment law developments for the benefit of clients and the wider team
  • Deliver training programmes directly to clients and design internal learning and development initiatives - particularly for junior members of the team
  • Represent the employment group at industry conferences and seminars in Ireland and internationally as a recognised subject-matter expert
  • Collaborate with the firms wider knowledge function on firm-wide strategic knowledge and practice development objectives
  • Champion the use of technology and AI to improve knowledge delivery and client service
  • Support the team with complex technical legal queries and play a visible client-facing role

The Person

  • Qualified solicitor or barrister with 5+ years PQE in employment law
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Irish employment law across contentious and non-contentious matters
  • Strong client-facing experience with a passion for knowledge, learning and development
  • Creative and strategic thinker with the ability to drive innovation and change within a large team
  • Excellent communicator - confident presenting at client seminars, workshops, and conferences
  • Commercially astute and self-motivated with strong project management skills
  • An interest in leveraging AI and technology to enhance knowledge and service delivery
  • Collaborative team player who can influence and engage senior stakeholders effectively
  • No prior practice development experience required - a passion for the area is what matters
