Senior Company Lawyer (Industry Client)- 5 years PQE+ (FIXED TERM CONTRACT 12 MONTHS)

Hunter Savage is currently partnering with this leading client to recruit a senior company lawyer to work as part of their solid and growing in house legal team. This is an exciting opportunity to join one of NIs leading companies and work in a broad in-house role. The role would suit a solicitor with over 5 years PQE who has a background in commercial contracts/commercial litigation. Please note that this is a fixed term role (maternity cover) for 12 months.

The Role

-Be proactive and fully involved in risk management, advising the business on options and opportunities to mitigate risk.

- Promote legal compliance throughout the business.

-Consider risks and prepare and deliver training to the business to reduce the risks.

-Commercial role Drafting and negotiation of complex and high value commercial agreements.

- Financial Management role Deal with complex, significant matters that cut across legal and related areas like the annual report and accounts, companies house submissions, budget management and contract management for the crown commercial services framework.

-Oversee work allocation across the team and take decisions as to how to resource the work (insourcing/outsourcing), balancing cost with expertise, obtain and negotiate budgets with external legal providers for complex capital projects 

The Person

Ideally you will meet the following criteria:

- Qualified Solicitor - 5 + years PQE.

- You will have come from either commercial/commercial litigation or a corporate background.

- Will have knowledge of one of the following areas commercial/corporate, property, commercial litigation or corporate governance. 

- Strong legal drafting skills.

- Good communication skills with the ability to liaise effectively with internal stakeholders.

-Demonstrable experience of fostering and building lasting internal and external stakeholder relationships.
